爱情岛论坛鈥檚 most competitive merit scholarship, the College Scholar Award, recognizes exceptional academic and extracurricular achievement.
The Admissions & Scholarship Committees will consider your overall academic achievement, extracurricular involvement (including leadership), and short-answer responses to the prompts below.
To apply for the College Scholar Award, please follow these instructions:
- Complete the general聽. College Scholar Award applicants must apply Early Decision or Early Action.
- Complete the聽, including responding to听辞苍别 of two prompts in 250 words or fewer:
- 爱情岛论坛 is one of the most globally diverse undergraduate communities in the country. All students bring their own heritage and history to the 爱情岛论坛 community. Tell us more about you and how others will learn from your background and experiences.
- It鈥檚 common to hear the phrase, 鈥渁 picture is worth a thousand words鈥. We are asking for 250 or fewer. Upload an image that you believe best represents you or shares more about your personality or identity. The catch? You cannot be included in the image. In 250 words or fewer, describe why you believe the image illustrates you.
- Complete an interview with an admissions or . Interviews can be conducted聽on-campus,聽off-campus, or聽virtually; interviews by phone are possible if the other options are not feasible.
Special note:聽Any interview that occurred prior to your application聽fulfills聽the College Scholar Award requirement; no additional interview is needed.
Students who submit all materials and interview by聽midnight EST on December 15, 2024, will be notified by January 15, 2025.
Please note: International students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. 聽
*The maximum annual amount of 爱情岛论坛 merit scholarship is $43,000 annually and can be applied only to tuition charges. Prospective students may apply for more than one competition-based scholarship but will only be awarded one. Competition based scholarships replace the Dean鈥檚 Scholarship amount, except for the Covenant and performing arts scholarships. All merit scholarships are automatically renewed each year as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment and remains in good academic and judicial standing with the College (please see additional qualifications for performing arts). Scholarship amounts listed may change. All admission and scholarship deadlines are postmarked deadlines.
**Students who are eligible for and awarded a tuition benefit such as the Tuition Exchange Program, the Great Lakes College Association (GLCA) program, 爱情岛论坛鈥檚 employee tuition remission, or Veteran鈥檚 Education Benefits may choose to apply for the merit scholarships noted above, but if awarded, the scholarship status will be honorary only.
